Sewage back up damages home in Old Colorado City

1-800-Flooded was dispatched by an insurance company to a home in Old Colorado City that had sustained water damage after the basement toilet backed up sewage water into the home. The basement recreation room, two bedrooms, the hall, and the bathroom were affected. Because the home was built in 1914, 1-800-Flooded had the affected materials tested for lead based paint and for asbestos. The affected materials were cleared for lead based paint but some materials were found to be asbestos containing. 1-800-Flooded hired an abatement company to remove the asbestos containing affected materials. 1-800-Flooded performed necessary demo on other non asbestos containing materials and performed structural drying. The entire affected area was then power washed with an anti-microbial agent. Rebuild services were performed by a separate company hired by the insurance company.
